Young Men and Women of Admirable Character--Held Hostage by the State of FloridaI had good kids, young men and women with admirable character and integrity,
kids holding jobs, going to school and helping to support themselves by virtue
of necessity due to their fate of family, bright enough kids who could read
fluently, but who froze at their last official high school attempt at getting
the few points they needed to shore up a "pass" on FCAT. These are the kids who
deserve the truth about the computation of scores. They and kids of the next
round of testing deserve to know why their futures were held hostage by the
state of Florida. |
